feelin’ 22

Friday (March 4th) was my birthday! 😀 I finally got to sing & dance to the T-Swift song “22” with accuracy! 😉

Both Aaron & I took the day off work so we got to enjoy a full day celebrating together. Here’s a look into the day! 🙂

I woke up to our studio apartment fully decorated with streamers, a banner & balloons covering the floor. Aaron had gotten up early to do it so I would wake up to the surprise. Promptly at 7am, I was awoken by the Taylor Swift song “22” blaring & Aaron dancing by the stereo. It was the perfect way to wake up! After a shower, we headed out the door for breakfast.

We went to one of my favorite places, “Big, Bad Breakfast!

I ordered my favorite, a waffle with strawberries + an egg.

i'm a simple woman, i like this bearded man & breakfast food!

After our stomachs were full from breakfast, we drove to downtown Birmingham because I wanted to take a picture in front of the mural I’ve heard so much about. After a couple wrong turns, we made it.

We headed over to Hoover, and Aaron pulled into the TJ Maxx parking lot. He told me we were going shopping for workout clothes (when people asked me what I wanted for my birthday, that’s what I told them). It took me almost no time to fill my cart, but of course, I had to narrow it down & ended up getting some great items!

We were surprised how slow the time was going (we weren’t complaining though), and we weren’t hungry for lunch yet, so we went to the mall.

Aaron insisted I buy a new pair of shoes, so we ventured into the VANS store where I bought my 1st pair of VANS. I love them! ❤

At 12pm, we decided it was time for lunch, so we went to a pizza place I’d been dying to go to with Aaron.

We got our number & sat at the table.

From lunch, we raced over to the movie theater to watch a movie that had just come out that day – “Zootopia“.

It was a great movie!

Afterwards, we went home to have a bonfire. I didn’t want a cake for my birthday, I wanted donuts. So Aaron stacked them up, put Avengers candles in them, and everyone sang the oh so famous song, “Happy Birthday!”

There it is – that was my birthday.

BUT WAIT…. there’s more!

Monday night is tribe night, as I’m sure you’ve gathered if you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time. And since it was the Monday after my birthday, I told everyone I wanted to go bowling.

Aaron & I started off with the arcade.

We got enough tickets to get two prizes.

We enjoyed 4 games (my arm was shot by the end) & everyone had a great time! It was a fun night.

Overall, I had a great birthday! & I’m definitely feelin’ 22 😉
