“i want to be a mom!”

I wanted to take a moment and say a big THANK YOU! to everyone who has commented on my blog posts, Facebook messaged me, texted me & talked to me about being a mom. Y’all have been so encouraging and have said nothing but nice things. I have gotten so many compliments that I’ve taken to motherhood well and I think that’s the biggest praise  you can give a new mom.

For over a decade, when people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d say, “I want to be a mom!” It was my deepest desire and I honestly couldn’t see myself doing anything different. I didn’t need a fancy degree or a job that took me all over the world – I wanted a family.

God is faithful and when I least expected it, He gave me a husband and not  long after, a baby girl.

Not to gloat or sound conceited, but I know I’m a really good mom. And most of the time, I laugh at myself when “oops’s” happen (like forgetting the diaper bag). But life does happen and the devil is well aware of my dream and he likes to whisper doubt into my ear that I have to fight against. God is good though and He always brings me the comfort and reassurance I need.

Rylie is my world & I can’t imagine my life without her. I laugh at myself sometimes because my best friend is a 6 week old 😛 but I love spending time with her. She makes me smile and laugh, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve told her how beautiful she is.

So all that to say, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU again for all of your support, words of encouragement, and love you’ve shown our young family. Aaron and I are overwhelmed by y’all and we cannot thank you enough for loving our daughter! ❤
