Guys, this week was a struggle. The enemy must have been attacking me because I could not seem to get myself out of bed when my alarm went off! So tired…
This called for a couple “on demand” plays to catch the message bit, but I still faithfully prayed while I pumped before heading out to work.
Here are week 2’s notes from the little mini-messages that are given before our focused prayer time. I hope you can find something that you can apply to your life today.

Day 8 – Chris Hodges
This was a Sunday message, so you can watch the whole message anytime by clicking here. I’ll let you download the message notes, but there are couple side notes I made.
- pray for blessing
Lord, give me more than I need so I can be a blessing to the world around me.
- pray for influence
Lord, show me your purpose for my life so I can live a life bigger than my own.
- pray for presense
Lord, be with me because what you’ve called me to is too big for me.
- pray for protection
Lord, strengthen me and protect me from every attack of the enemy.
Prayer isn’t about God moving towards us. Prayer is about us moving toward God.
Day 9 – Hamp Green
As we lean into the Lord, we can expect resistance.
More levels, more devils
Every day, every time we get together with God, let’s touch Heaven and confront Hell.
The devil operates in lies, that’s his native language. Every time he speaks, he has to lie.
Replace lies with the truth (God’s word)
Day 10
Day 11 – Blake Lindsay
Always pray!
Keep praying until the answer comes.
When you feel like giving up on your prayer request, don’t.
We ask, seek and knock. God lets us receive, find and open up the door.
God never obligated himself to our timeline.
There is power in persistence!
Day 12 – Layne Schranz
We have the power to win our thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 – “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Philippians 4:6-8 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Day 13 – Chris Erwin
Don’t do life alone. So don’t pray alone.
2 things happen:
- God join the “prayer meeting”
- God goes into action
The most intense prayers from Jesus involved other people (his disciples)
What does it mean to pray in agreement? That they have your back. You’re focused when you pray.
It’s a step of faith to write/share a prayer request
Romans 8:34 (NLT) – “Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”
Jesus is praying for me!
John 17 and Luke 22 – Jesus prays for us. He prays the our faith would not fail when the devil attacks.
