I am so happy to say that as of right now, my sister-in-law, Amberlyn and her new husband, Ryan, are on their honeymoon getting some well-deserved quality time and rest after a gorgeous wedding.
Like most weddings do, it started with the rehearsal dinner. Rehearsing the wedding in and of itself was pretty quick and effortless, which left a quick exit for Taco Mama catered dinner & toasts.
The following morning, Rylie and I got up and ate a quick breakfast before heading over to Ryan’s parents’ house where the girls were getting ready. Amberlyn was so sweet and gave us all gifts, including Rylie. She also gave us robes to wear while we were getting ready.
Can we just take a minute and talk about how freaking adorable Rylie’s robe is!? ❤
A few hours later, we loaded up into our cars and drove to the venue where we made final preparations and put on our dresses.
Some family photos were taken before we needed to “hide” while guests arrived.
The ceremony was gorgeous. Rylie rocked walking down the aisle. She did get distracted when she saw a couple familiar faces and started high-fiving 3 people in one row before continuing down to Ryan. She made the whole room laugh and did a perfect job of carrying her sign, “here comes the bride.” I cannot wait to see the video!
I totally teared up when Amberlyn walked down the aisle, and I absolutely loved how short the ceremony was!
As soon as they were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Ryan Benson, cheering commenced and they exited the chapel with huge smiles!
We took some bridal party photos before heading to the reception. Once we arrived, the DJ introduced the bridal party which led into the newlyweds first dance. So sweet!
The next hour and half was full of food, donuts (from the adorable donut wall that read “all you need is love and doughnuts!”) and dancing. Rylie loved dancing to the music and the guests were very sweet to include her in all the festivities.
We said farewell to the couple at 8pm with a sparkler send off.
Not surprisingly, Rylie passed out on the way home and even stayed asleep as I unbuckled her, got her out of the dress and laid her down. She clearly had had a very long day.
It really was a phenomenal celebration and I am so excited to see the professional photos + video!
