October:

I didn’t read any books this month because Podcasts were my jam. The ones I found myself listening to the most this month are:

The Real Life Podcast

Coffee With Andi

Hope City

November:

  1. The Alice Network by Kate Quinn || After being on hold for months, I finally got to listen to this popular book and I really liked it! Like any good story, I fell in love with the characters and found myself anxious to find out what happened next. It’s based in 1947, during the chaotic aftermath of World War II. An American college girl, Charlie St. Clair, is pregnant, unmarried, and on the verge of being thrown out of her very proper family. She’s also nursing a desperate hope that her beloved cousin Rose, who disappeared in Nazi-occupied France during the war, might still be alive. So when Charlie’s parents banish her to Europe, she breaks free and heads to London, determined to find out what happened to the cousin she loves like a sister. In the midst of these chapters, it’s 1915 and a year into the Great War (World War I). Eve Gardiner burns to join the fight against the Germans and unexpectedly gets her chance when she’s recruited to work as a spy. Sent into enemy-occupied France, she’s trained by the mesmerizing Lili, the “Queen of Spies”, who manages a vast network of secret agents right under the enemy’s nose. Thirty years later, haunted by the betrayal that ultimately tore apart the Alice Network, Eve spends her days secluded in her crumbling London house until a young Charlie barges in uttering a name Eve hasn’t heard in decades, and launches them both on a mission to find the truth … no matter where it leads. By the end of the book, I found myself smiling at the sweet victorious conclusion of the story. Definitely enjoyed it!
  2. Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis || Rachel Hollis is a well-known name in the business owner world and an inspiration to many. She has developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. In this book, Rachel exposes 20 lies that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively. Rachel’s book is full of humor and truth (both life-wisdom + Biblical truth) with practical strategies that will help any reader move past the lies.I really enjoyed this book and so appreciated her transparency. I found some great tools that I’m using every single day in both my personal and business life.

December:

I started listening to a couple books, but honestly, I mainly listened to Christmas music this month 😉
