FREE LEARNING ACTIVITY PRINTABLE & THEMED SNACK FOR TODDLERS: human body themed

This month I focused on teaching my toddlers the basics of the human body. It was a lot of fun because I kept it simple.

One morning while we were eating breakfast I went through the process of our food – from how our teeth breaks it down to how what our body doesn’t need goes in the potty.

Rylie especially favored the large intestines while Emmaline thought patting her tummy was the best.

One thing that I chose to highlight was our emotions. We watched Inside Out (one of our favs) and I created this printable for Rylie as a way to discuss and name emotions.

To go along with our human body theme, our themed snack was popcorn. While it was popping, Rylie and I talked about the 5-senses (sight, sound, smell, touch and feel). When we heard a kernel pop, I made a really excited face and asked her what sense we just experienced. With giddiness in her voice, she replied, “we’re hearing our body!!!” Rylie had so much fun with this!

You can get my FREE Emotions printable here.

I asked Rylie to tell me which face went with what emotion and then had her draw a line to the words.

Are you going to try this out? Let me know if you do and tag me on Instagram if you share a photo of you guys having some learning fun with the free printables!
