bye toothless

A little over a month ago, the kitten Toothless unexpectedly came into our lives.

Aaron and I agreed to keep him, but a week later I found out I was pregnant which instantly made it more difficult to have a kitten around since I’m technically not supposed to change the litter box.

Once Kylo came back into our lives (even more unexpectedly than the cat), we tried juggling both for a couple weeks but quickly found ourselves running thin.

When we talked about offloading, Kylo was an automatic “keep,” but we were willing to pass Toothless on to a family who could care for him better.

We took him to a shelter, but it became a shockingly confusing and pointless endeavor that frankly, only left me frustrated. We ended up bringing him back home.

Thankfully, Michelle (my mother-in-law) found someone (a co-worker of hers) who wanted Toothless. He stayed with us one more night and we packed him up the next morning.

We had already been prepping the girls for this moment the last couple days and they were okay letting Toothless go to another family.

Even though I had originally grown a slight attachment to Toothless, by the day he left I was honestly glad. I wanted him to be in a thriving home and with our current season, we’re just not that.
