Baby #4 honestly didn’t need much because I saved a lot from my other three kids. From the moment we found out we were pregnant with our first, we intentionally kept large baby items (stroller, bath, crib, towels, swaddles, etc.) gender neutral.
After having three girls, when we found out baby #4 was a boy, we really only needed clothes which I had a handful of friends offer hand-me-downs and I gladly accepted them.
But between freshening up items we used for the last 4 years or needing a couple completely new things, there were a few purchases.
Whether you need a baby shower gift or are preparing for your own baby, these are some of the new things I bought for our fourth baby.

- Dr. Brown’s Original Bottle Specialty Feeding Starter Kit – I got these because after three kiddos I felt like it was time to get fresh bottles (especially since the ones I did have were used before I even got them). I liked this set because it had two 4oz bottles and four 8oz bottles – enough to be helpful but few enough to force us to stay on top of washing them right away.
- 3-Tier Metal Rolling Utility Cart – I talked myself out of purchasing this for years, and I am so glad I finally got it! I love the Pinterest pictures of how people used it during those newborn days to house diapers, clothes, pump, snacks + more and the ease of rolling it to wherever you need to be. Once we’re done with it for baby, I’m planning on using it for homeschooling. WIN-WIN!
- Tadpoles Moses Basket & White Cotton Terry Pad – this was purely a happy purchase haha I really do believe it will be helpful to have something to lay him in and carry him around that is cute and functional. And after he’s done with it, I can use it for laundry or a blanket basket.
- Woodland Bassinet Sheets – I snagged these for the Moses basket to keep the cotton pad protected. I’m using the other one as a changing table pad since the one we had felt a little girly.
- Silicone Pacifier Clip – I loved having this style for our third daughter and I knew I’d need more.
- BIBS Baby Pacifier – another thing I loved having with baby #3 that I was definitely restocking on.
- Foldable Storage Bin – I fell in love when I saw this on Amazon and was blessed to receive it as a baby shower gift.
