bump update :: 35 weeks

Hospital bag packed, nursery ready, continually preparing my own personal stations & mentally preparing for labor + having a little man around the house. Oh, and kinda went to the hospital the other night… it’s cool ;P

Week 35:

Symptoms :: I’ve said he feels low for weeks, but now it’s noticeably uncomfortable. I get tired easily and my tolerance for activity / movement is extremely low. I think my body is telling me to chill out and rest.

Food Aversions :: nothing specific

Food Cravings ::  random things (Mexican, sweets, fruit, water, Rice Krispy Treats, etc.)

Sleep :: I went to bed at 8:00pm the other night and still woke up exhausted… so that’s where we are hahaha

Looking Forward To :: those final baby purchases coming in the mail so I can say I’m 100% ready vs. 95% ready.

Fun Stories :: I don’t know if this can be classified as “fun,” but I did go to the hospital on Monday (4.26.21). I was having regular, close together cramping / Braxton Hicks from 5pm-8pm and it got to the point where I started getting concerned I might be in labor. Because I was induced with Rylie & Paisley, I’ve only had one set of natural contracts (hey Emmaline) and I didn’t even know I was in labor until I was unable to talk through them. Pulled into the hospital to find out I was 7cm dilated and she was in our arms less than 40minutes after arriving. So I called to ask what natural contractions felt like. Because of my history (not knowing I’m in labor until the last minute), the on-call nurse told me to come in so they could hook me up to the monitor.

Aaron and I left the house at 8:30pm. The nurses checked me & told me I wasn’t dilated at all (which was good!) and the monitor showed a very healthy heartbeat and no contractions. I was basically told that I was dehydrated and that’s why I was cramping so badly. After monitoring me for a little over an hour and drinking lots of water, we were discharged. I was still cramping a lot, but at least I knew it wasn’t labor 🙂
