2023 in review

My word for 2023 was HEALTHY, and I think the enemy saw this as a challenge to bring me struggle. It’s a story that contains years of information, but since the Summer of 2022, I’ve been doing bloodwork, seeing doctors, having conversations, suffering from debilitating problems that were keeping me from events and hindering my quality of life. But at the end of October, I finally got answers, reassurance I wasn’t crazy, this struggle wasn’t forever, and actionable next steps. I was in tears from relief.

As for the other ways I wanted to incorporate health into my life (spiritually, in my relationships, business, family rhythms, etc.) Sometimes pursuing health requires frustrating conversations, painful heartache, doubt and even redirection. But revisiting the last 12 months in my mind and by looking at photos, I can look back and confidently say I’ve achieved my desire.

I really slacked on blogging this year. Part of it was how I chose to spend my time, part of it was indecisiveness that left me paralyzed, and part of it was natural adjustments I chose to make which ultimately left for long gaps in blog posts. One of the things I wrote for 2024 was to get back into a consistent blogging schedule. I considered shutting this space down… but I truly believe it helps people, so I plan on refocusing on it in the new year.

Compared to previous years, this blog post will probably look thin. But I still wanted to create one.
