the terrace at tiny bluff in lookout mountain, georgia

The Terrace at Tiny Bluff in Lookout Mountain, Georgia is off a neighborhood road yet with all the privacy. The view will immediately capture your breath, regardless of the time of day or season, and The Terrace is a quaint, family-friendly cabin on the mountain.

Aaron and I packed up our four kiddos and headed out on a 2.5 hour road trip to Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The kids were bursting from their carseats when we pulled in and eagerly walked down the path to get to the deck. While they took in the view, I snuck inside and took some photos.

The kids were ecstatic over their bedroom. The floating bunks were the highlight of the whole trip to my two big girls and my son was obsessed with the truck the hosts set out.

The master was rightfully assigned – the full-length windows made waking up in the morning breathtaking and catching the sunrise was a highlight for me.

But as a family who loves to gather, the cozy dining table welcomed several card games and the living room was a great seating space for our bedtime routine – a reading from a Narnia book while coloring.

The full kitchen allowed us to cook our own dinner and a yummy breakfast.

Packing to leave was bittersweet. The kids were sad to leave their bunks and I found myself desiring more time to just sit on the couch and aimlessly stare out the window at the view or read more of my book.

After we said our final goodbyes to The Terrace, we went on a 12-minute drive down the road and stopped at this quaint coffee shop. The atmosphere was cozy, several business people and students as well as moms with young children sitting sipping their drink. I had a friendly conversation with the staff (hey Sam!) about local things to do.

We found St. Elmo Park and fell in love. Oh how I wish this park was closer to home because we could have stayed there for so much longer then we got to, and we even exceeded our initial time allotment. I guess it was chatting with that new friend we made (hey LeAnne 😉

Sitting at home and reliving this brief stay truly is a treasure. All six of us had a wonderful time – the hosts were kind and thoughtful, the home was cozy and unique and the surrounding area was memorable. I hope to be back soon!
