I never post during the weekend, but today is kind of special so I made an exception.
Aaron & I have officially lived in Alabama for one year.

Early in the morning on June 18th, 2015, after 4 long days of trekking across the country in our 16-foot Penske truck + car hauler, we finally crossed the state line into Alabama.
It feels like we have lived here for so much longer then a year, but at the same time, it feels like we just pulled in yesterday. We’ve learned a lot, and I have definitely had my share of “culture shock” a few times.
A question we often get from friends & family in Washington is, “do you think you guys will ever move back to Washington?” And our answer, honestly, is “no.” Alabama is home now. For both of us. We love it here and know that this is where God has called us to raise our family and start our ministry.
We truly live in a beautiful state, and I am really excited to see what the rest of our years here look like.

Well, I gotta sign off. I’m headed out on a hike with a friend 🙂
Have a great weekend!
