We have less then 5 months before Miss Rylie makes her appearance into the world. Wow. Talk about crazy! As anxious and excited as we are, there is plenty to get done before she arrives.
Last Thursday, Aaron and I did some baby shopping and put all the thoughtful gift cards we received from our Washington Baby Shower to good use and purchased a stroller.
When we got home, Aaron was itching to put it together. So we opened the box and I asked if we’d have to assemble it or if it would be ready to go when we pulled it out. After pulling one thing out of the box, Aaron chuckled and said, “I guess there is definitely some assembly required!” He grabbed the instructions and pulled out the rest of the items and put them across the living room floor.
Luckily, there wasn’t too much to put together and none of it required tools. It didn’t take Aaron long to have it fully together and ready to go (no surprise there 😛 ).
Before we purchased the stroller, I was debating in my head whether it was really necessary to get it right now or if we could wait a little longer. I mean, November seems so far away. But I’ve always said I want to have most of the stuff ready to go at least a month before she arrives just so we don’t have to worry about it, and I am convinced we’re going to blink and it will be Autumn (which is my third trimester) and I just want to enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy without having a huge “honey-do list” starring us down. All that to say, I quickly realized it is never too early to buy baby stuff and happily crossed “get stroller” off the list. 🙂
