Truthfully, when we first moved to Alabama in 2015, I was not a fan of the lake. Growing up in Seattle, Washington, the lakes are just too cold to swim in and I was more comfortable in bodies of water I could see the bottom of and nothing uncontrollable could get me. But lakes have grown on me over the years and it’s become a happy place for our crew.
Amberlyn (my sister-in-law) was hosting a hang out gathering for her co-workers and invited us along. I originally planned on only staying for a couple hours but that went out the window fast. 😉
It was a constant circle of swim, snack, swim, snack and it felt right.
When it came to Spencer’s nap time, I tried to have him rest on my chest in a chair but he was way too interested in everything to sleep. So we got back in the lake and the best moment was when I looked over at my mother-in-law, who was holding him outwards, and saw Spencer had fallen asleep. hahahahaha!
So thankful for lake days!
