ย We are full on into summer, which means full days outside where the bugs are. Yay (do you hear my sarcasm? ๐ ). I love being outside, but the bugs are not my fav. Specifically mosquitos.
In the past I’ve just used the bug spray that comes from the store, but it smells yuck and leaves you feeling nasty.
I created this DIY bug spray and had to share it with you because not only does it smell way better, but it also works!!!
INGREDIANTS
- 1 tsp of Witch Hazel
- 15-25 drops of Essential Oils (Peppermint, Lavender, Lemon & Cintronella)
- Water
INSTRUCTIONS
Drop in desired amount of Essential Oils, add Witch Hazel and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Shake before each use.
My first time really using this spray was during the 4th of July and guys, it really does work!!!! + it smells amazing!!!! I used it on our whole family (kids included) and even got my mother-in-law on board.
If you want some extra protection, you can snap a roller-top onto some Peppermint and roll it on your ankles + wrists too ๐
