Covid-Easter was one of my favorites. Normally, Easter Sunday is spent separate – Aaron serving multiple services at our church while I serve by caring for our family at home.
But because church is strictly online during this season, we were able to spend our first Easter with kids at home together!
We started the day with a yummy cinnamon roll breakfast that also included biscuits + gravy, bacon, eggs and fruit.
My little bunny-helper, Emmaline, was also willing to wear bunny ears for a brief stint and I was quick to hand Aaron a camera to document it π
Following breakfast we let the girls get into their buckets.
I had gotten 90% of their bucket items before Covid happened (+ some we already owned. I’m all about repurposing π ) so each girl had some goodies to enjoy.
Rylie got a bunny, Candy Land board game, new Usborne Books & More wipe-clean book, a headband she already owned, a watercolor paint set, a bunny bowl, some M&Ms, her own chapstick, a wash cloth, and a chocolate bunny.
Emmaline scored with another bunny, sunglasses, a new Usborne Books & More board book, a headband, a watercolor paint set, some M&Ms, a bunny bowl, her own chapstick, a wash cloth, and a chocolate bunny.
Baby Paisley got her own bunny, a bunny headband, a bunny bowl like her big sisters, a new bib, two sippies and some baby food.
We watched church afterwards and really enjoyed their Easter service.
During quiet time, Aaron put together twenty eggs for the girls. Each one had an M&M in it. He hid them around the living room, dining room and kitchen. When they got up, he explained how an Easter Egg Hunt worked and they were very eager to get started.
The girls caught on very quickly and really enjoyed finding the eggs. Pure excitement overflowed from their little bodies when they spotted an egg and it was adorable!
To finish out the day, we colored eggs (Rylie especially enjoyed this. Emmaline took a pass and played) and ate a delicious dinner.
