Last night was officially our first class at Highlands College!
2011 was my last first day of school so I felt a little rusty packing my backpack 😛
How many pencils / pens do I need again? Do I need to be packing more than just a notebook and the books they gave us?
Needless to say, it brought me a few giggles as I knew I was being ridiculous, so I zipped up my backpack and trusted I had packed exactly the right amount.
As for the first day of actual class, it went great (and I had packed all the right things!).
I’m not sure if I’m just rusty, or if my pregnancy has something to do with it, but my note-taking was not as fast as it used to be. I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m out of practice or if it’s because my brain couldn’t tell my hand fast enough what to write (because of my constant pregnancy brain… 😛 ). Other then that, it went really well.
I am so excited to be doing this with my best friend. We’ve never done any kind of schooling together (we met right out of high school so we were both already graduated) so this is extra special for both of us. God’s hand has been on this since the beginning – I mean, we did move from Washington State to be able to attend Highlands College – and we can already tell the teaching is going to be beyond phenomenal and I am so anxious (in a good way) to see where God leads us on the journey.
