from the girl who said she’d never do the young living business…

This is my third attempt at network marketing… did you know that?

I ran with two other companies with this business style. The first was horrible. I hated it and was happy when I was out. The second I still share and stand behind but it’s not something I do full-on anymore. But this one – Young Living – this has debunked every misconception I ever had about this industry.

Why? What makes this one different? The products that have been monumental to me and my family. The people I get to work with. The honesty + integrity of the company. I could go on and on…

It’s not at all what I thought it’d be like. It’s better. Some days it’s really hard but it’s also incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned & failed. But I’m very proud because my business is real & raw.

Over time, I have learned how to bridge my passions with my work

and that is priceless.

I’ve learned a lot of times people will give up before they ever see the fruits of their labor. When the road is uphill or we feel uncomfortable, we just stop.

I still remember the day I jumped into Young Living. I knew nothing about oils but Instagram-people made me believe they were cool and not just for “hippies” (lol). Plus I desperately wanted to start switching out our products but was overwhelmed where to start. I got my kit and simultaneously (even shook hands with) told my husband and all of social media that I wasn’t going to do the business. Ha.

What I wasn’t expecting was to fall in love with the products. I knew I was going to be telling everyone about this… so why not get paid?

It was the income potential that really motivated me. But I quickly learned it would take (a lot) more time than I was hoping. In the meantime, I got pregnant with baby #4 and survival mode kicked in – I still promoted my favs (Ningxia entered my life at this point in my life and I haven’t shut up about it since ;). But I told myself I was committed for four years. Then I could reevaluate and shift if necessary. But for the next four years… I was all in.

I knew nothing about network marketing until I was in network marketing. But now that I’m in it, I see it as one of the most common, futuristic things that I don’t see ever going away.

Building another stream of income from a side gig isn’t so taboo anymore.

It’s actually incredibly wise.

I’ve met some of the most amazing people through this business, from dear friends to ladies I really admire and look up to. And we’re all just casually living our life, most are mamas and we’re all regularly changing + growing. The only difference is we’re choosing to share it all vulnerably, connect with people and share a product we are obsessed with (just like we’d share anything else we’re receiving value from). But truthfully, some of my best relationships have come from Young Living. You find your tribe. Your lifelong pals. And there is always room for others to join.

There are a lot of challenges and harsh realities that come with “you’re your own boss,” and, like I said earlier, I had to adjust my expectations, which has allowed for a lot more growth in me which I’m actually very thankful for.

It is possible to do the seemingly impossible in the midst of the mundane.

It’s possible to have & build something for you and for them when you feel like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood.

You can build a legacy for your family and generate will-able income.

For me, the reason I do this has ebed and flowed with the season that I’m in, but I can without a doubt say this is worth it.

I hate it when people don’t even try because they don’t think they have time or aren’t special… you can be normal (like me) & have a very full schedule (like me) and be very successful. It doesn’t have to be weird or yucky, money in the hands of good people is actually a really good thing.

Stay YOU and stay consistent. Do the things that actually move your business forward and the results come.

my biggest tip is stay consistent.

trust yourself & the process.

I thought I’d fast-track to the top… but my story has been slow & steady and that’s most people’s journey. But the slow & steady has allowed me to grow in ways I never would have otherwise… I love what I do. It’s practical. It’s meaningful.

This work is about meeting people’s needs, watching transformations, bettering lives and educating other’s on why it matters when it comes to the products we’re reaching for every single day. It’s sharing my story & inviting others to share theirs and be part of this lifestyle.

I won’t lie to you, network marketing takes a certain level of grit, tenacity, & so much discipline. No one is going to hand success to you, you actually have to go out there and fight for it.

This business has changed me. It’s forced me to build new skills, to do the hard & unconventional things. To become more confident and bold. I am not the same – I am better.

We live in such an instant world. When things don’t come fast and easy, we’re done. We quit because that’s more comfortable.

Success is to keep going. To keep showing up. To admit that you are learning alongside others. To pick yourself up despite how we feel.

I wish I could look you in the eyes and tell you that I see your doubt. Waffling between whether you should just go for it or hang on the sidelines. I want to speak life & belief over you – this can be YOU!

I didn’t start with experience. I knew nothing about oils and holistic living. I learned. I tried. I succeeded and I failed but I picked myself back up and kept going.

If you’re looking for community, a place to belong, & people to champion you – THIS IS IT!

All different backgrounds, all different personalities, all different styles, all different strengths, all different hobbies, but all passionate about this lifestyle, passionate about community.

Do me a favor, stop being scared of what could go wrong or what people will think. Start getting excited of everything that will go right! You have no idea what will happen when you take that leap, who you’ll inspire & the lives that will change.

We have all kinds of ideas of what “success” looks and feels like. Truthfully, I’ve had to redefine what “success” looks like for me. It’s overcoming, being a problem solver and blazing new trails, it’s trying new things & building new skills. It’s pivoting when something no longer works. It’s owning your life instead of waiting for someone to figure it out for you.

let it be hard…. and then do it anyway.

I don’t have all the answers, no secret tips or tricks to success. Spoiler alert… no one does. Even the people at the “top” are constantly learning and shifting – it’s real, honest work.

What I AM able to offer you though is a buddy to walk alongside you. A close knit community. Someone to link arms with you & encourage you. Resources upon resources and accountability from a team that champions you. Someone to challenge you, push you, & someone that’s working right alongside you.

Trust me friend, I’m in it with you!

I have big plans for my future at Young Living. Big goals and ginormous dreams. And I know you have goals & dreams too. Are you ready to work for them so they can come true?

So what’s the job exactly? You are sharing Young Living’s incredible products & stellar company to your people. You get to build relationships and meet people’s needs daily. You are helping change people’s lives and it’s so freaking rewarding.

Time is passing either way, my friend… you’ll regret looking back and seeing you wasted so much time on the sidelines… wondering what could have been. How far could you have gone? What would it have turned into? Who you would have grown to be?
