Hillside Hideaway on Smith Lake in Crane Hill, Alabama is a 3-story, 4 bedroom lake house that is truly unforgettable.
After touring the house with great excitement (5.13.24), we made some lunch before literally jumping into the lake and spending several hours there before we ate dinner. A sweet friend made it to bless our family so I just had to reheat it in the oven. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook all the food we brought and eating on the patio was a “no-duh.”
We finished the day with s’mores in their partially-enclosed outdoor living space and reading more of our Narnia book.
The next morning (5.14.24), I happily did some computer work before getting ready for another round in the lake.
After lunch, we checked out the neighborhood’s salt-water pool. Because the lake house is located in a private gated community, everything was no nice and clean and really felt private which was nice.
Our last morning (5.15.24), we were blessed with a late checkout so we slowly got up, Aaron and I shot a video for the launch of our adoption lion shirt fundraiser, Aaron took more drone shots while I got some more content with the kids and then we headed out.
Hillside Hideaway is must visit for families and groups. It’s a breathtaking escape that provides memories that will last a lifetime.
