how 2 train your dragon birthday party

We decided to have Rylie’s birthday party on a Friday night, which ended up working out wonderfully! This last Friday (11.9.18) a few of our friends came to celebrate our new 2 year old.

Aaron chose the theme “How To (2) Train Your Dragon,” which was a lot of fun to decorate for. Aaron was incredible and DIYed pretty much all of our decoration aside for a few t hings that came from the dollar store or that Rick & Michelle gifted to Rylie (see the fun inflatable house!)

I told Aaron and multiple guests that I (personally) felt so much more relaxed at this year’s birthday party vs. last year’s. Last year, our invite list was overwhelming because we invited literally everyone we knew (+ Rick & Michelle invited guests) and I know I didn’t get to talk to everyone. We invited fewer people this round and I really feel like that was a majority of the stress relief. I was also stressed about various things last year that this year either weren’t an option or I just didn’t care as much about. In any case, it was a great party and we loved every moment of it (and so did Rylie).

We are so thankful to everyone who came to Rylie’s party and for those who wanted to come but were unavailable to attend that night. It was such a great gathering and we are thankful for our community.
