life lately – august 2021

August was packed full.

August 8th felt like our last day of summer because Aaron went back to work from his paternity-leave on August 9th and we were starting school that week. But on our last evening of Summer, the girls basically bathed themselves in dust and it was hilarious.

We were bummed to see Daddy go to work, but we were so thankful we had him as long as we did.

We really got back into our library visit routine and that was so special. The librarians look forward to our visits and I’m glad to have the whole kid section to ourself most trips.

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge Paisley’s accessory choice on this hot day haha this girl is obviously ready for a season change (me too Babe… me too!)

The kids and I got to meet up with some homeschool friends and do a little hands on activities that partnered with a picture book. We weren’t able to read the book prior to the meet-up unfortunately but it was still fun to be with friends and do these unique activities (drawing on paper and making an eco-system (or a sand and rock sensory bin for my kids haha they just dumped it in).

We started homeschool. Rylie is in Kindergarten and Emmaline is in Pre-K. They both absolutely love learning and are absorbing greatness.

Rylie had her martial arts testing and received her next belt color. I absolutely love seeing her pursue her passion and she is getting better and stronger.

We definitely found our rhythm with school. Couple hours in the morning.

Rylie has begun reading (on her own!) and I’m so stinking excited for her! She absolutely LOVES books and it will be such a treat to watch her enjoy them on her own.

Our crew has definitely found a great tradition – family movie night!!! It’s been so special for our family and we love the special treat.

The girls were invited to a friend’s swim birthday party and they had a lot of fun!

The whole crew went to WalMart to stock up on groceries and we might be upgrading to two carts next time hahaha feeding a family of 6 is only going to get more interesting as the kids keep growing.

Due to some unfortunate, unavoidable circumstances, the car Aaron used to get to work quit working on us and it cost way too much to repair. Aaron did a lot of research and found his dream car (Mazda Speed3) for an incredible price. He’s stoked and I gotta say, it’s fun to drive!

Rylie also got to have professional pictures taken for martial arts and it was so fun! She got to pick two weapons and it was so cool!

Meanwhile, Spencer is over here being the cutest thing.

I was super busy in August with my business – giving out samples, chatting about my favorite products and keeping Paisley out of my Ningxia ;P haha

I’m so thankful I can hold my sleeping baby and be on a zoom call.

Rylie has been invited to a lot of birthday parties lately and her martial arts friend kicked it off.
