Some of our sweet homeschool friends invited us over for a Little House On The Prairie backyard party and my heart was ecstatic. This Little House obsessed family quickly accepted and began reading “Little House In The Big Woods” as was requested leading up to the event.
At the party, everyone brought a themed snack to share, we sat on the quilt blanket to talk about the book for a couple minutes before letting the kiddos pick from the variety of stations there were:
+coloring paper dolls
+building with Lincoln Logs
+making a cloth doll from material scraps
+playing freely in the woods
+shaking a mason jar to help create butter
And the fact that we all dressed up made it even sweeter.
