On Saturday, October 8th, we made plans to go to Old Baker Farm with my sister/brother-in-law to go hunting for pumpkins. Aaron & Spencer stayed home so it turned into just a girls trip.
We intentionally got there right at opening in hopes to avoid the heavy Saturday crowd, and we were successful.
The first thing we hit was a wagon full of cotton the kids could jump in, then we got to ride a little train around a big field.
On the train, we passed a ginormous slide that was begging to be ridden, so we ran across the giant field to take a couple trips on the ginormous farm slide and the girls were all giggles.
From the slide we decided to go searching for our pumpkins, so we hopped on the hay ride and rode over to the field where you get to pick the pumpkins right off the vine.
When we got back, we put our pumpkins in our wagon and dove into the sourdough donuts I made that morning, Ugh… so delicious!
As we were strolling towards the exit, we passed a sunflower field and we had to walk through.
I decided to splurge the $1/each and let the girls + me pick a sunflower to take home.
Shoutout to Uncle Ryan and his pocket knife which made getting the flowers off their stems so much easier haha
Wow – recanting it through this blog reminded me of how magical that morning felt.
