Our crew goes to the library once a week, and every week I walk out with a bursting bag of books. I started keeping a list of those library finds that I just loved! You know, the ones you’d be willing to purchase because they’re just that good!?
You can check out my top picks from earlier this year here –
Either search for them at your local library, used bookstore or get them off Amazon because, for real, they are worth it!

I loved the creativity from this one. It encourages kids to be creative and design there own things.
the kid who changed the world
Educational and fun. This books highlights several kids who grew up to be famous people we all know. Some of them even overlapped into each others stories. It also highlights how we (the reader) can do something great to change the world. It prompted a really great conversation in our home.
we don’t eat our classmates
So funny. This poor dinosaur student struggles to not eat her human classmates. In good fun, this was a great school-themed book.
flat stanely
A classic I remember reading as a child. This kid goes flat and has all kinds of fun adventures.
I don’t want to read this book
Any book that makes Aaron and I laugh out loud pretty much automatically gets a spot on my “book from the library that I would purchase” list.
all the places to love
So sweet. This family highlights several places on their property and why it’s so special to them. Gorgeous illustrations and an adorable message.
when dads don’t grow up
This book is awesome and really celebrates fathers. Funny too.
emma’s turtle
Follow this precious turtle as she goes on an adventure… or at least, she thinks she does 😉 another book that had us adults laughing.
The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors
My kids were borderline devastated when I returned this one. Such a fun take on this classic game. Make sure you read the author and illustrated bios – they share their own additions to the game.
