SATURDAY (10.8.16) was our baby shower. We hosted it outside in our backyard which was magnificent since the weather was perfect!
My sister-in-law, Amerblyn, did an incredible job with the decorations (she also gets full credit for all the pictures taken 🙂 ).
My mother-in-law, Michelle, and I were in charge of food so we spent the morning in the kitchen preparing the snacky foods we had gotten and arranging them on trays.
At about 1:30pm, friends started arriving.
After some time of socializing, we started playing games. The first one involved toilet paper but since it was really thin and cheap, the game didn’t work out super well so we ended up moving on to another game – “Guess How Big Sarah’s Belly Is.” Each guest was offered string and they would guess how big they thought my belly was. 😛
Once everyone had their string, they made a line and I wrapped each of them around my belly (with Aaron’s help).
After a few attempts (that were way too big haha) we were handed a string that fit my belly perfectly!
We did some more socializing and a few of our guests needed to head out. With only a few people left, we decided to start opening gifts.
We are beyond thankful for everyone who came to our baby shower! Aaron & I are continually amazed by y’all’s generosity and we are nothing short of blessed. Baby Rylie is so loved and treasured by each of you and it’s evident. <3 Thank you, thank you, thank you!
