Back in 2020 I had am impromptu orientation, so this year I planned one in advance.
My plan wasn’t very elaborate –
+tell them we’d start school in a couple days
+let each girl put curriculum in their proper bin
+go over schedule (here’s a look at our school schedule for the year. I also have reading marked at morning & afternoon snack in addition to our bedtime stories and random audio books during quiet time and occasionally on drives).
Easy and literally took less than 15 minutes.
We also ended the day with Toy Story 4, mainly because of the scene at the beginning when Bonnie goes to Kindergarten orientation and makes Forky 🙂
