Food:
I think the most iconic moment this month was the fact that I ordered him his own kids meal when we went out to eat (after he had eaten his fruit pouch). If that doesn’t tell you where we are in the food department, I don’t know… ;P lol
Spencer nurses in the early morning, mid-morning or noon, mid-afternoon and usually before bed with table food in-between.
Sleep:
7-8pm is bedtime but he’s pretty verbal when he’s ready to be in bed.
He naps once in the morning around 9am, at 12pm and our evening naps have pretty much disappeared.
Spencer has this two puppy lovies (a puppy with a little blanket attached and a blue puppy) that he sleeps with and they both bring him so much joy! it’s adorable!!!
Life:
When he was born, I had a couple people ask me if I had noticed a difference between him and the girls (like, boy vs. girl kinda things) and aside from changing diapers, I hadn’t. Well let me tell you, there are now lots of things that I do not remember the girls doing or, at least, they didn’t do it to the magnitude or consistency that this man does.
Remember last month I said Spencer was essentially army-crawling!? Well now he’s on all fours, zooming everywhere and getting under all kinds of tables, chairs, behind doors, pulling himself up on things, climbing all over me, etc.
He had his 9-month check up and his doctor said he’s high-average for weight (21lbs) and average for height. He also got one shot and he didn’t do a thing. Tough kid!
He really enjoys being on the trampoline with the girls, but mainly in Mommy’s lap.
He helped a ton with the Adoption Yard Sale (by force lol).
Spencer also got some good play time with his guy gang!
He got his first haircut (really a little snip-snip) because he had a little rat-tail growing and mama said “heck no!”
& his two top teeth finally broke through – so that’s a BIG win!
Me:
As for me, I still enjoy doing life with him. He’s my little buddy and brings me a lot of joy!
We both love being outside, so it’s easy for us to get in the carrier and stroll around the property or hang out at a park.
But this kid is really coming into himself and I love it. He is such a sweetheart!
