Over Thanksgiving weekend, I noticed a few of my friends were posting pictures of their decorated cookies or gingerbread houses and asking which one their Instagram audience thought was the winner. I thought this would be a fun idea to do with the Tribe, and I found a gingerbread house kit at Aldi for $6.99 so I bought 2. We had a competition between the boys and the girls with 30ish minutes to complete our house.
I’d also like to publicly admit that the boys’ frosting dispenser broke so they had to get creative and use other methods to decorate their house. I give them major props for their ingenuity and think their house turned out phenomenal considering their setback!
Rylie enjoyed a Christmas cookie while she supervised the boys.
When the timer went off and Aaron said, “HANDS UP!” we looked at each other’s creations and commented on parts we loved.

What do you think? Which one is your favorite?
This family loves some healthy competition, and having a festive activity to do together was extra fun.
Amberlyn is so forward thinking and brought her Polaroid camera and I loved the pictures she took for herself so I asked if she would take one of me and Aaron. I love it!
