Yesterday was mine and Aaron’s 4 year wedding anniversary! π
Whoop whoop!!!
I wanted to trek down memory lane by posting a couple pictures of us on our anniversaries and share an overview of what was going on at that time.
Day 1
Aaron and I were honestly more excited about our honeymoon than we were about our actual wedding day haha We went to Disneyland for the first time and had an absolute blast! It was so much fun to enjoy time together as a married couple <3
They say the 1st year is the hardest, but it didn’t faze us one bit. We were having so much fun not having to leave each other at night and learning each other’s quirks that you really only see when you live together.
Year 1
We had just moved to Alabama 3 days before our anniversary, so we were still settling in, but we managed to go out to dinner (which wasn’t that great… the food was “eh”) and see the new Disney/Pixar movie, Inside Out in theaters (which of course had me crying!).
Year 2
Year 2 was so sweet. My inlaws helped pay for a hotel in a town a couple hours away and we got some much needed quiet time including dinner and an adventure. I was 19 weeks pregnant and the day after our anniversary weΒ found out the gender of our first baby! π
Year 3
After having spent a week together in Seattle, we didn’t really have the $ to do anything crazy for our 3rd anniversary. We didn’t have a sitter for Rylie either but after being gone, it was nice to have a low-key evening at home. We used a gift card given to us to get some dinner and watched a movie.
Year 4
Year 4 has been crazy full guys – we purchased our own home & added sweet Emmaline to our family. I feel like this year we dreamed more, became more intentional with everything, and learned even more about each other.
To celebrate, we went out on the 19th and had dinner + watched Incredibles 2. On our actual anniversary, our tribe came over with dinner and dessert in hand. We played “Heads Up” and laughed super hard. π

Looking back on our last 4 anniversaries is crazy, and I can’t believe how far we’ve come in just 4 short years. Can you imagine when I write a post like this on year 25? Year 60? Ahhh I’m grinning just thinking about it! π
I love doing this life with you Shaver! Thank you for always believing in me, for encouraging me, for leading me, for having fun with me, for loving my kind of different and cooking for me π Love you kid!
