a virtual tour of seattle, wa

I’ve heard a lot about the various virtual tours popping up all over the internet. So for fun I thought I’d put together a tour of my home city.

Disclaimer: none of these photos are mine. I give all the credit to Pinterest.

First, we need to board the airplane. It’s a cross-country trip so get cozy and prepare for at least one layover.

Eventually, you’ll land in the gorgeous state of Washington. Luckily, you came on a beautiful clear day.

Grab your bags and walk off.

You leave the airport and jump on the light-rail.

You instantly go downtown to Pike Place Market where you browse the fun, unique shops and eat some delicious food.

Before you move on, you check out the incredible but disgusting gum wall. (don’t worry, we all gag a little) πŸ˜›

Next up is the Pacific Science Center. Make sure you take the time to check out all the exhibits!

And you can’t be downtown and not go to the top of the Space Needle. The history at the base is intriguing and the view from the top will change your life. If you have some time, grab a bite at the restaurant at the top.

Last stop before heading to a more peaceful side of the state is Alki Beach. Enjoy a walk, stop in on the little shops and don’t get run over by the bikers, long boarders and rollerbladers.

Now drive onto the ferry to head towards the San Juan Islands. Make sure you get out of your car and walk to the upper deck and keep your eye out for Orca Whales.

You make it back just in time for a SeaHawks football game. Against their rivals, the San Fransisco 49ers. Get your blue and green gear and cheer alongside the 12th man!

Now it’s onto the road and headed to the breathtaking mountains.

Enjoy the beautiful drive into the mountains, park your car and take in all the sights and sounds while you hike the trails.

Alright, time to chill! Pop-up your tent, start a fire and enjoy the environment.

After a relaxing time away from the busyness of city-life, you’re on your way back. Before you get too far down the road, stop by Black Bear Diner for a large and hearty breakfast.

Back on the road and you stop by Wild Waves to enjoy some theme park fun!

There is so much more I could direct you to do (and to eat) but I don’t want to overwhelm you πŸ˜‰

I hope you enjoyed your tour of Western Washington! πŸ˜€

What was your favorite part?
