We’ve had three weeks of Nature Day Forest School and every week it brings more joy to our crew. The first week of the Winter Semester we talked about Weather, then the second week we highlighted Winter Animals. But this last week (2.18.23) we talked about Hibernation.
I talked to the kids about what hibernation is, which animals hibernate and what they have to do to prepare.
This week for activities I hid a big stuffy and said they had to find the hibernating animal.
The other activity was they could paint a den and then take it home for animals figures to hibernate in.
Snack was a bear mix that included bear favorites like fish and berries.
We’re half way through and I’ve got some fun planned for the remainder of our semester.
