You know those weeks when you feel like you get punched and you don’t have time to recover before you get punched again? That’s been this past week for the Shaver Crew 🙁 We just can’t seem to catch a break, but we figure we must be doing something right if the devil keeps attacking us. And what a wonderful opportunity to be intentional about finding things to be thankful for!?
Alright, here’s this week’s Thankful Thursday.
Thankful Thursday #30

LetGo Haul for only $20
LetGo is a hit-or-miss app. I sell stuff on LetGo and it is always a little annoying when people message you that they’re interested in an item but never respond after you confirm their interest and start talking about when and where to meet up. Earlier last week I found a Coach carry-on bag that is normally $600+ for only a couple hundred. I expressed interest in hopes of being able to barter, but I shortly realized the seller wasn’t going to go down much and I didn’t have $200 to spend on that. So, because I hate it when people express interest then just drop off the planet, I messaged her and apologized but said I wasn’t able to afford the item and hoped she would sell it shortly.
Her reply shocked me. She told me she really needed it gone and was willing to sell it to me for $20 + whatever else I wanted on her page for free. She said she was going to take it to the Goodwill and would prefer it go to someone who would use it. Plus, she said she believed in blessing people. Um – yes please! I met up with her (in a public place, don’t worry 😉 ) and got the carry-on, a few other purses, a couple bags of clothes, a bag of kids toys, and a couple house decorations. FOR $20!!!! I thanked her profusely and she said she was just glad someone was blessed by them.
Later on when I had some time, Aaron and I went through the bags and picked out what we wanted to keep, what we thought we could resell and what we’d just take to the Goodwill. I’d say it was a successful haul 😀

Day at the Lake
When Rylie clearly loves something, it’s like I see it in a whole new way. Her obsession with the lake / water is adorable, hilarious, and fun. I dedicated a whole post to our latest lake day, and I still smile when I remember the huge smile on my little girl’s face.

Future Provision
Like I said, it’s been a rough week for the Shaver Crew, so this week more than ever I am thankful for the Lord’s provision and that He is a “show off” God. I’m believing He will supernaturally bless our situation and perform a miracle that will have us screaming His goodness.
