We’ve begun a new unit at Nature Day Forest School and we’re diving into GARDENING.

Today we tackled planning. During our lesson, we read “We Are The Gardeners” by Joanna Gaines to discuss the importance of planning and how to create a plan.

Our snack was cheese, grapes, blueberry muffins, and watermelon – a spring celebration spread.

Our activity was creating your own garden plan. I laid out plain white paper, pencils, colored pencils and clipboards so the kids could draw. They loved it.

The weather was gorgeous so we spent the remaining time just soaking up the sun, chatting and watching the kids play. I am so excited for this unit! It’s gonna be a good one.
