Dear Emmaline,
Can I just start off by saying you are so much fun? I have absolutely loved these past 3 months with you. I think you and I can both agree that those first 6 months were challenging. But that random October day that you woke up a completely different baby was probably the most surprising but welcomed moments. The joy you have is unstoppable and your determination is something else. I have no doubt that you will be a passionately determined individual.
I know I said I wanted to be a morning person, so I guess God thought it would be a good idea to make you an early bird to ensure I would get up. It can be a struggle some mornings, but I love it because it gives me some one-on-one quality time with you before the rest of the house wakes up. If waking up early for the next 18 years means I get to spend some uninterrupted time with you, I’ll gladly do it.
The way you scoot and army crawl as much as you can, the way practically throw yourself into our arms when we’re transferring who is holding you and the way your nose scrunches when you smile big gives me all the feels.
It is going to be so fun to watch you grow Little Love. If these first 9 months are any hint to our future, I know your life will bring us lots of surprises, lots of passionate feelings, determination and strength.
