mother’s day 2021

Mother’s Day has looked different every year for me, but this year was definitely the slowest.

The day before I was gifted a whole day to myself (Aaron was at work and my in-laws took the girls which turned into a sleepover as well). I watched movies, took a nap, got my nails done with my sister-in-law and just rested. Which led into my Mother’s Day morning which started off with being able to sleep in slightly before getting ready for the day.

After we got the girls, we went to church where I was gifted with adorable crafts from the big girls. Hand flowers and a hilarious Q/A by Rylie.

to clarify – lately I’ve been telling the girls “my job is to drink a lot of water today” to keep up with pregnancy demands, but the way it was communicated back to someone else was hysterical!

After church we went out to a Mexican restaurant for lunch (we’d never been to this one before and are happy to report it was delish). We spent a couple hours at home binging a kids show before we drove to my sister-in-law’s house where her + her hubs had made us dinner.

We also snagged family photos which are always classic.

We got home late and pretty much went straight to bed – overall, an excellent day.
