moving in to our second house + initial home tour video

First of all, thank you to everyone who has commented on our photos congratulating us on our newest home purchase. It’s been a long road but I am currently sitting in my living room at complete rest.

11 months of searching.
9 months living with family.
We looked at 16 houses.
Made 4 offers.
Had 2 contracts.
But today, we have 1 home.

We scheduled closing for December 19th at 2pm. We signed the papers and walked out with our keys!

Immediately, Aaron & I (+ Paisley) went to our new house!!! We assessed the cleaning that needed to happen over the next 24 hours and got to work. Not long after we welcomed our Tribe who graciously offered to help us.

Friday (12.20.19) was not much different. The morning consisted of some light cleaning before I met up with Michelle and picked up a washer, dryer and fridge for $350. That evening was Aaron’s company Christmas party but Saturday morning (12.21.19) was moving day and all hands from our tribe helped us move over.

Our new driveway is pretty steep, so the big moving truck was not going past the road. We had to get creative when it came to getting our stuff from the truck to our garage so we could unload and I’d say the team did a great job!

By Saturday night, we were able to sleep in our new house.

Aaron asked me if a house was an okay gift for Christmas.
I guess it’ll do.
🤣

The following days of course have been a hodge-podge of unpacking and getting ready for Christmas.

Making a house a home takes some time, but we’re definitely almost there 😄

Here is a video sharing some fun footage of our move – including a home tour (before it was cleaned or lived in haha).
