paisley – 2 months old

This month went by fast and I feel like she’s really starting to develop – coming into her face, having preferences, creating a schedule of her own, etc.

Food:

Paisley is still a good eater, but when I get mastitis (I’m currently recovering from round #3) she doesn’t care to nurse but she’ll drink just fine from a bottle…

Our nighttime routine is great – I pump and give her a bottle. She takes 4oz once or twice at night but we are still on demand during the day so she could eat every 2 hours or every 4. Just depends.

At her 8-week appointment she weighed 9lbs 14oz and was 21 inches long.

The doctor says she is growing perfectly.

I have so many pictures of her sleeping haha but she is so cute it’s hard not to take them.

Paisley is a great sleeper! She sleeps through the night most nights (sometimes she wakes up hungry around 3am but she falls right back asleep after her bottle) and 6am.

Naps are strange. She takes itty-bitty power naps with one long one typically in the afternoon. If we are out and she is in her car seat, she will likely sleep the whole time.

Paisley is still pretty chill but when she gets upset, better watch out – this girl can work herself up into a bright-red-faced, holding her breath screamer. Typically picking her up and lovin’ on her makes this subside though and then we can deal with the problem (dirty diaper, hunger or gas).

Baby girl is very resilient to her big sisters, mainly because she has to be. Rylie and Emmaline love to give does kisses, hugs and pats.

Sweet Paisley has been giving us some smiles lately and it is hands down my favorite ❤️ She is so sweet and precious!

3 under 3 is no joke. There are lots of days I feel like I jipped somebody of attention or I didn’t hold Paisley as much as I should/could have. But God’s grace is abundant and I’m still learning how to juggle 3.

I’ve had mastitis 3 times since having her and if you don’t know what mastitis is (I didn’t), it’s a breast infection and is very painful. It’s given me flu like symptoms and 101+ fevers. I’m currently on my 2nd round of antibiotics but I feel so much better!

Paisley is such a joy to me though. She brings simplicity and peace to me, which has been refreshing for my heart.
