bump update :: week 32

Week 32:

Symptoms ::  I have cramping / discomfort every morning, but my doctor said that’s normal and could also be because of dehydration / hunger. I’ve had a couple headaches… which sucks but chugging water tends to help. I honestly think it’s related to lack of sleep too! Also, when I wake up in the morning, my lower back is really uncomfortable. My doctor recommended I put a heating pad on my back at the end of the day, so I’m going to start doing that which hopefully will help. I also wear my belly band on weekends or when I know I’ll be up and moving a lot and that’s helped support it too.

Food Aversions ::  It’s not food, but I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke. This is not a smell I’m “okay” with on normal days, but it’s so much more amplified when I’m pregnant and it’s been super obvious to me this week.

Food Cravings ::  Banana bread and cereal really.

Sleep :: Y’all, when I’m out, nothing can wake me up apparently. The other night Aaron came into bed late and made a ton of noise and I didn’t hear a single thing haha But if Rylie wakes up I’m instantly awake.

Looking Forward To :: The Baby Sprinkle and Maternity Pictures are both on the calendar – and I’m really looking forward to enjoying those “milestones.”

Baby Purchases :: Nothing.

Fun Stories ::  When I was pregnant with Rylie, I heard somewhere that going to the chiropractor during pregnancy has a lot of benefits – including a smoother labor because everything is aligned. Even though I had never been before, I figured it couldn’t hurt to try, and my mother-in-law found this amazing chiropractor that she loved going to on a regular basis, so I went once a week and I really think it helped. With baby #2, I decided to wait until I was further along in the pregnancy before I went. Then with the whirlwind of moving, the holidays, life and then planning what needed to get done before Emmaline arrives, I just haven’t had the time. But I decided since I was 32 weeks I really needed to buckle down and go, so I made an appointment. When I went in, the Dr. greeted me and said, “long time no see!” “I know, it’s been a while!” I replied. He looked at me and said, “I can see why we’re here. Congratulations!” hahaha. Thankfully, I left feeling better then when I walked in – so I’ll be visiting him every week until the birth.
